Use to be 5 stars. One on Market has dropped off a little. the food is still very good, but the service is lacking. staff is nice enough, but not very attentive. Lots of mistakes in orders lately and lots of empty drinks. still a good meal at a fair price.

I have never had a bad experience all the years eating at this location till today. The girl answering the phone to take my order was so rude. Went to pick up food the same girl at the register was very RUDE.

One of my favorite places to go in Johnson city. The staff is wonderful. Excellent service and delicious food. I moved away from JC about 2 years ago and I always try to go back when I'm in town.

I've been going to the wrong Amigos the whole year I've been living in JC. This one really gives you your money's worth.

Good food and service

We happened in on a Monday afternoon which, as it turns out, is their $0.95 taco night. My husband and I each ordered three chicken tacos and expected that, for $0.95, they would be full of lettuce and cheese and very little chicken. Well we were wrong in a big way. I don't know how they make money on this because those tacos were so full we could not even finish our meals. The seasoning was perfect! Their cheese dip had a good consistency which was pleasing since the norm here in the Johnson City area Mexican restaurants seems to be rather thin and messy. The service was very good and we were seated immediately upon arrival. We enjoyed the ambiance and the dining room was very clean. Amigo will certainly see us again!

People Street Amigos is the very best. Service is great , Ricardo is the best server. He remembers what we like for our Monday Tacos and Margaritas night out with friends.

Amigo is the best Mexican restaurant for food and service, I have tried other Mexican restaurants and none compare to the food at Amigos..

Fast, curtious service. Meal well prepared and portions are very large. No way could I eat it all! Wasn't particularly fond of their salsa or guacamole. Otherwise I would have rated 5 stars. Just a matter of personal taste

Their steak tacos are awesome. They have a wide selection of mixed drinks and a good queso. 11/10

Friendly staff, food was good/ok.

Food was decent. Fried ice cream outer shell tasted like cardboard. And I thought we was 2 eating but had a issue with flies. Kinda ruined the whole meal.

I love the salsa!! I think I had it on everything I ordered. The food arrives fast. The place was very clean although busy. The waitstaff was polite and attentive. I return here often because it is in a good location to meet friends and is central to many errands and appointments.

Had a good meal with chili relleno, rice, and refried beans.

The only reason I'm giving a 2 is because my son enjoyed his nachos. I got a salad with grilled chicken. The was a very small amount of lettuce and nothing else was chopped well, the chicken had lots of gristle. I complained to the waiter and nothing was done.

A wonderful meal with excellent service! My husband and I ordered a del la casa salad, chicken burrito and the Jalisco Quesadilla. The Quesadilla comes with spinach, onions, and mushrooms, but I asked them to omit the mushrooms. The food was fresh and had wonderful flavor. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was very clean. I liked the menu, there were quite a bit of combination options to let you enjoy multiple dishes one the same plate. There is a lunch menu available everyday except Sunday, as well as a general anytime menu, a vegetarian menu and kids menu. The menu is reasonably priced and a good option for a family meal out. On Mondays they offer a 95 cent taco happy hour and we will be trying the guacamole that is made fresh to order then! We look forward to going again!

I love this place. Super ridiculously fast and efficient service and really nice waiters. We never wait long for our food whether it's 3pm on a Tuesday or 6:30pm on a Friday night.

Great service! Great food, always served on a hot plate to keep the food hot longer. Very reasonable prices. My family has been eating here for many years and will continue to do so!

Excellent service and delicious food. Carry out orders always spot on. Dined here at least 100 times and carry out probably as many. Never a bad experience. Try Amigos on People Street. You'll be glad you did.

Was not allowed entrance because or me service dog. This time but when first reopen it was okay for him to come in.Response to your answer: You need to check the American with disability act ( federal) and/or call the local health department. Service dogs are allowed wherever your customers are allowed. (Ada.gov service dog) I do not need to ask special permission. I did not feel like making a scene that day that is why I left.

Great food/service

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food is always good and the service is great. Everyone is courteous and prompt. Lunch is served quickly so you can have some time to relax. The margaritas are good also.

Best amigos all around. We've tried all of them and this one is by far the best and the only one we want to eat out, it's not as close of a drive as some of the others but it's worth it. The service is great, so is the food and their portions are great as well

Call their first location in Johnson City 8 times to no answer during normal business hours call and place an order at the second location only to arrive to be told they have no food orders second location also closes early contrary to normal business hours without posting any sign or warning whatsoever no one is wearing a mask but yeah they don't want you to come past the lobby door to pick up a food order

We love coming to this restaurant. In my opinion, they have the best guacamole around. It's very creamy and delicious. The wait staff is friendly and the food is always fresh.

Good food, a little more expensive than La Carreta for example, but it's basically the exact same food. Even has the exact same beer selection.

We stopped at another restaurant first bit there was a 30 minutes wait!! We decided that was way to long to wait with a 4 year old. We left and went to amigos where we were seated as soon as we arrived. The waiter was probably the best waiter I've ever had. He made sure we got our order in fast, our food was brought to us fast, our drinks stayed full and he was really nice. The food was great as well and the price was reasonable. I will definitely eat there again!!

Great place to eat! Food is perfect every time you eat there. The staff and waiter was awesome! Will def eat there again!
